About Torch Lake Country Inn
Torch Lake Country Inn is family-owned and operated in Alden, MI. Since we opened in 2013, we have treated every guest like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.

At Torch Lake Country Inn we invite our guest to take full advantage of our country experience.  Located a half mile off the road we offer a secluded and peaceful setting, from the relaxing fire pit in our enclosed gazebo, to an outdoor fire pit under the stars.
Joe and I knew 15 years ago we wanted to turn our home into a B&B. We actually took out our DBA at that time to secure our Torch Lake Country Inn name. Our home has been a place where we raised our 5 children along with several foster children. We left many friends in the Detroit area to move North. As a result, they have come up here to stay with us every year to enjoy this beautiful area. Joe joined our volunteer Fire Dept.- South Torch Lake Fire and Rescue in 1982, the year we moved here. I joined soon after to become an EMT. Over the years we have both worked in hospitality at our local resorts and a B&B. I have also been a beautician for 45 years. While our children were growing, we were active in 4-H, as we had all the animals; 5 horses, pigs, chickens, lambs, goats, cats, dogs, etc. We also became Scuba Certified and really enjoy our Torch Lake dives. Joe has had a Harley as long as I can remember and for my 60th birthday, he presented me with a new 2009 Harley Tri-Glide. We are active members of H.O.G. and belong to the Gaylord Chapter- 45th Parallel. We love being around people and can't wait to have you come join us to experience all Northern Michigan has to offer. The first 20 years we never took a vacation, as we felt we were always on vacation here.
Committed to helping our guests relax and enjoy their stay in Northern Michigan!
